Tuesday, 8 September 2026 – The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance (FIEF), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), was awarded the prestigious GIFA Market Leadership Award (Education in Islamic Banking & Finance) 2026 at the 16th Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) 2026, held at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, London, United Kingdom.

This award recognises FIEF’s commitment to academic excellence in Islamic banking and finance, particularly in strengthening academic quality, research, innovation and the development of future leaders.

The achievement marks an important milestone for FIEF and UNISSA, to further strengthening their international standing and contribution to the global Islamic finance industry.
